Week in the life prep
Hey lovelies, I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend doing whatever makes you happiest. I've been to the garden centre again, this time to get a clematis and another peony - I can't wait for them to go crazy, yes I've turned into a mad plant lady now. Another task that's been steadily gathering momentum is my Week in the Life album prep

My most recent prep was my Reason Why page. Ali Edward's tends to do a Reason Why page on her WITL album and her December Daily album. I didn't do one in last years album, so thought I'd try my hand at it this year. Instead of adding some text to a page I decided to create a little stitched vellum pocket to hold my thoughts. I'm obsessed with this polka dot vellum that I got ages ago. I've been hoarding it, so I finally got to put to use... yum
Once I'd created my pocket I needed to fill it. I took a huge amount of inspiration from the heart pockets in the WITL kit as well as Ali's Hello Story 3 class. I decided to add my hopes for the project to hearts and then decorate the front of each one. I created a rough heart template on my computer and added the text to one side. Once I'd printed and cut them out, I started decorating the fronts. I used a bunch of pretty papers I've been holding onto as well as a tonne of washi that I just don't ever use - it finally had its day in this project
Once I'd added papers to the front of the hearts, I decided to use my label maker to add a little hint of what was written on the reverse of each heart. I'm obsessed with my label maker and I'm super excited to use it in this project. It's going to feature heavily in my Week in the Life album this year, I've decided! Haha
I'm so happy with how these turned out. Now I just need to work out how to add my Week in the Life title to the pocket and I'll be done with my album front page - yay!
